Last week of school

Monday, May 18th- classroom awards 8 a.m. Classroom video immediately following awards.

Tuesday, May 19th -no school for Election Day 

Wednesday, May 20th -field day.  Wear comfortable clothes and shoes to play in.  We will be outside most of the day if weather permits.

Thursday, May 21st - WonderWorks field trip.  Students must wear tennis shoes and should dress comfortably.  This is an extended day.  Arrangements need to be made to pick-up students around 5 p.m. We will use the school cast and remind for notifications of time changes.

Friday, May 22nd - Last day of school.  Dancing through the Decades by CES PTO.  Students are encouraged to dress for the event.

KPrep testing this week!  Eat well and get plenty of sleep.  No spelling or team homework.  Relax as much as possible.  Good luck!!!

Spelling r-controlled vowels

April 27th

This will be a review week for all subjects.  I am very proud of our kids and feel they're ready for testing. It will be held May 4th-8th. Spelling will be over r-controlled vowel syllables. We will finish writing friendly letters. 

IReady goals and current status will be sent home on a "Top Secret" folder. Please review goals with your child.  May 1st is the last day to complete lessons that will count for the trip.  Also, please return the "Top Secret" folders by Wednesday.

Check out the weather on the WYMT news today.  Weatherman, Brandon Robinson paid us a visit on Friday. He taught a lesson on dangerous weather and shared a tornado experiment.

This week we will review scrimmage test # 3. Reading classes will finish bottle buddies. Please send empty and clean water bottles. In grammar, we're working on possessive nouns.  Spelling will be over vowel team syllables. We are writing friendly letters to ho in student's writing portfolios.   Common core math and reading will use review and practice testing strategies.

Please send in permission slips and $2 for the Shrek musical. It will be held on Tuesday. IReady sponsor breakfast is set for Wednesday. We're asking all students to wear iReady t-shirts.
